Adams Family Kikos is located in beautiful central Illinois, and consists of 40 acres of pasture and woodland. We have about 75 does with 3 main bloodlines, giving us plenty of diversity. We have selected bloodlines that we feel are best in the US. We have herdsires from each of the first 2 bucks imported from NewZealand Moneymaker and Goatex Confedarate. This is something that very few, if anyone, can say. We have been in the goat business for about 3 years. Our first goats were boer-spanish cross does which were bred when we bought them. Some of these does were bred to a boer buck and some were bred to a kiko buck. After our first kidding season there was no question as to what kind of goat we wanted to raise. We weaned all 15 of the kiko kids born, and weaned only 10 of 17 of the boer kids. We lost 5 of the boers the first 2 weeks, because they never nursed. Three more were lost to parasites before weaning at 3 months. Since then we have been raising top quality breeding stock with very little loss.
